Levante have signed Jaime Gavilan from Getafe on an initial one-year deal.

The 29-year-old, who completed a medical this morning, has signed a one-year contract, with the option of two additional years depending on appearances.

The Spaniard started his professional career with Valencia and had two separate loan spells with Getafe before joining the capital outfit on a permanent deal in 2008.

However, the experienced midfielder, who represented his country at every youth level from the Under-16s, has now swapped Madrid for Valencia.
