Sports Mole brings you live coverage from the Stade Pierre-Mauroy where Lille host Auxerre in the Coupe de France.

Lille welcomed Auxerre in the third round of the Coupe de France at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Tuesday night with a place in the four stage up for grabs.

The stage marked the introduction of Ligue 1 sides who were not participating in European competition, while Ligue 2 outfit Auxerre had already advanced through two rounds of the tournament.

In a big upset, Auxerre struck a winner deep into extra time to knock out top-tier Lille.

Read how the match unfolded in our live commentary below.

Good evening and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the Coupe de France where Lille take on Auxerre in the third round at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
It's the third stage of the tournament which means that it's time for the big boys to enter the fray - well some of them anyway. All the Ligue 1 sides who are in Europe this season, regardless of if they have already been knocked out, won't join the action until round four, so we'll have to wait a while longer before the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille make their debut this term.
However, Lille, who are third in the top flight, kick off their cup pursuit tonight against second-tier outfit Auxerre in what should be a very good contest.
Team news to come shortly, but I expect Les Dogues to make a number of alterations for the match. According to early reports, Rene Girard will be unable to call on Marko Basa, Marvin Martin and Ryan Mendez all due to injury, while Vincent Enyeama, Simon Kjaer, Franck Beria and Florent Balmont are all expected to be rested.
Meanwhile, Auxerre have been going strong in the competition having already convincingly beaten Caen and Brest in the opening two rounds.
These two sides last met in the 2011-12 season prior to Auxerre's relegation from the top tier, so they will be rekindling old rivalries tonight.
Right, I have the host's team news.
LILLE XI: Elana, Rozehnal, Souare, Sidibe, Soumaoro, Mavuba, Delaplace, Meite, Origi, De Melo, Ruiz
And as it happens, the Auxerre team has just reached me.
AUXERRE XI: Leon, Coulibaly, Marester, Boly, Djellabi, Ait Ben Idir, Sammaritano, Segbefia, N'Gando, Viale, Ntep
We're just minutes away from kick off, so let's take a look at the benches.
SUBSTITUTES:
LILLE BENCH: Mouko, Gueye, Jeanvier, Roux, Rodelin
AUXERRE BENCH: Ndong, Haller, Sorin, Boe-Kane, Kitambala, Castelletto, Sawadogo
KICK OFF! And the match is underway.
Decent start to the match from Lille, who are all over Auxerre early on. A lot of attacking possession, but no chances yet.
Brilliant defending from Rozenhal there, as Auxerre looked to respond the host's early pressure. Ntep outpaced Soumaoro and looked to be latching onto the loose ball, but the former Newcastle United centre-back was quickly across to sweep up the danger.
Meite has a pop at goal for Lille, and cracks a powerful effort from outside the box. But it doesn't trouble Leon in the Auxerre goal and flies over.
Still goalless at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy with just over a quarter of an hour played. Not too many chances yet either. Neither keeper has had much to do.
Still not a lot to report on. It's pretty quiet both on and off the pitch, with certainly less than 15,000 in the stadium.
Ruiz curls in a corner from the right for Lille towards a busy far post, but Leon makes himself known and powerfully punches the ball clear.
Great play from Origi, who uses his trickery to win Lille a corner, and it looks as if he will take it.
Origi opts to leave the corner taking duties but nearly gets his head on the cross. Had he connected with it, Leon may well have taken his head off as he came flying out fists first.
OFF THE POST! Lille were very nearly rewarded for superiority there as Ruiz hit a shot from just inside the box, but it came crashing back off the frame of the goal.
Lille have absolutely dominated this match, as you would expect with them being in the higher division, but they are yet to break down the Auxerre defence.
De Mello is that latest Lille man to have a go at goal, but it was a poor shot off target that gets a polite applause from the crowd.
Again Lille trouble Auxerre and again it's Ruiz on the end of a nice move. However, he cannot keep his shot down and blazes it over the bar.
YELLOW CARD Auxerre's Togolese midfielder Segbefia is the first man into the book tonight.
SAVE! It may have been all Lille this half, but Elana has just been forced into a great stop to prevent the hosts from going behind. The ball lands at the feet of Ntep, who strikes the ball towards the top corner, but Elana flings to his left to pull off a great stop.
HALF TIME: Lille 0-0 Auxerre
So no goals in a first half that has been dominated by Lille, but if they don't take their chances, it could come back to bite them as we nearly saw at the end of the half.
But while it remains goalless, Auxerre still have a great chance of progressing.
KICK OFF! The second half is back underway!
Lille have once again taken control of the match, but there have been no chances as of yet.
De Mello's effort is deflected behind, and Lille have a corner.
De Mello pivots before hitting a strike which deflects into the path of his teammate Souare. He chooses to have a go at goal, but can't get it away.
OFF THE POST! Lille hit the post for the second time in this match and again it's Ruiz who has been frustrated. He failed to get over the ball enough and lashed it against the top of the post.
We've just surpassed the hour mark, and the match remains goalless. How Lille aren't in front I don't know, and maybe, manager Rene Girard may be growing a bit concerned.
Meite hits a lovely pass from deep for Origi to run on to. The Belgian gets to it, but his cross is then blocked and knocked out for a corner.
It looks as if Ronny Rodelin will be coming on soon for the home side. He started in their win over Nantes on Friday night
LILLE CHANGE Girard finally makes the substitution, with Orini being replaced by Rodelin.
Souare steps up for a Lille free kick from about 30 yards out. He gets good accuracy with it, but the shot is lacking the power required to beat Leon in the Auxerre goal.
Into the final 10 minutes at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, and there has still been no goals. Not sure how Lille aren't a couple in front.
The game is really slow and quiet at the moment, doesn't look as if there is going to be a late winner.
LILLE CHANGES Roux and Gueye are on in place of Delaplace and De Mello.
There will be four minutes of added time.
It looks as if this third-round tie will be heading to extra time.
FULL TIME: Lille 0-0 Auxerre
Well, somehow this game has finished goalless at the end of 90 minutes, so into extra time we go.
KICK OFF! The first period of extra time has begun.
Again, Lille are dominating possession, but there has been nothing in the way of goalscoring opportunities in extra time.
CHANCE! Rodelin has his first real effort on goal since coming on as he volleys a cross into the box over the bar.
Approaching the halfway stage of extra time, and still no goals.
END OF FIRST PERIOD OF EXTRA TIME: Lille 0-0 Auxerre
Still we await the first goal, this match seems to have penalties written all over it.
KICK OFF! The second period has begun!
OFF THE POST! This is unbelievable, Ruiz has now hit the frame of the goal for a third time this match. Sidibe floats in a cross to the box which Ruiz meets with his head, but again he is denied by the post.
Rodelin gets his head to a cross, but can't generate any power, and it's straight into the arms of Leon.
GOAL! Lille 0-1 Auxerre (Sebastien Haller)
Isn't this just football. Lille have dominated the match from the first minute, but it looks as if Auxerre have pinched it at the end of extra time! Haller has got the goal for the visitors that may have just put them into the next round.
We're into added time at the end of extra time now.
FULL TIME: Lille 0-1 Auxerre
So that's it. Auxerre snatch the win in the dying minutes of extra time to advance to the fourth round at the expense of Ligue 1's third-placed team.
That's all from me tonight, I'll be back tomorrow to bring you Reims vs. AS Monaco on day two of the Coupe de la Ligue third round. Goodnight.
