Lille coach Rene Girard has told his team that he wants them to play better despite cruising to victory over Evian TG on Tuesday night.
Les Dogues made it two wins in four days after strikes from Salomon Kalou and Ronny Rodelin either side of a Jesper Hansen own goal gave them a 3-0 triumph at Stade Pierre Mauroy.
Despite their comfortable victory, Girard believes that his side are capable of playing even better and challenging the teams at the top of Ligue 1.
"We can do even better," Girard told reporters. "To be able to challenge the big boys, we have to improve.
"We have quality, not perhaps to be champions of France, but we can certainly do something interesting. When you say that you're ambitious it's not in words but out there on the pitch that you see it.
"That's why I'm demanding with them. Even though we won 3-0 we can do a lot better, and we'll need to be to go to Lyon."
Lille travel to face Lyon on Saturday.
