Paris Saint-Germain went top of Ligue 1 with an emphatic 6-1 win over Lille at Parc des Princes this evening.
Ezequiel Lavezzi struck a hat-trick to add to a brace from Edinson Cavani and Maxwell's early opener as Laurent Blanc's men put aside the disappointment of their midweek Champions League exit to Barcelona in style.
Left-back Maxwell gave the home side the perfect start when he netted inside the first minute, before Cavani made it 2-0 three minutes later.
Lavezzi netted the first of his treble before the half-hour mark before claiming another two minutes before the break.
Marko Basa reduced the arrears just before the hour mark, but it got worse for the visitors when Sebastien Corchia was sent off on 72 minutes after bringing down Cavani inside the area.
The Uruguayan dusted himself down to make it 5-1 before Lavezzi added his third four minutes later.
