England's Group E rivals Lithuania struck late to record a 1-0 win over Estonia at the LFF Stadionas in Vilnius this evening.
Lithuania are level on points with England at the top of the table after they built on their 2-0 victory over San Marino in the opening round of fixtures.
Estonia's Sergei Zenjov and home midfielder Arvydas Novikovas traded half chances in an otherwise tame first half that provided no goals.
There was little action in the second half until former Hearts man Saulius Mikoliunas put Lithuania ahead with just 15 minutes to go after Sergey Pareyko failed to hold on to a long-range effort.
Estonia, who face England on Sunday, then saw Ken Kallaste sent off late on to compound their misery.
