How Liverpool could line up against Porto

Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up for Tuesday's Champions League last-16 clash with Porto at Anfield.

Liverpool will be looking to make it six wins on the bounce in all competitions when they face Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Reds have been handed a favourable quarter-final tie, taking on the same side they crushed 5-0 en route to last season's final.

After earning unconvincing wins over strugglers Fulham and Southampton in back-to-back Premier League games, Jurgen Klopp may use this match as a chance to rest one or two key men - through choice or otherwise.

Out: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (hamstring)
Doubtful: Adam Lallana (muscular), Joe Gomez (ankle)

Liverpool will be without regular left-back Robertson for Tuesday's match because of a suspension incurred for picking up a needless late yellow card in the 3-1 win at Bayern Munich in the last round.

Klopp could turn to Alberto Moreno for just the fifth time this season, or he may instead opt to go for the versatile James Milner, who spent the majority of 2016-17 playing in that position.

The Reds will not be able to rotate too heavily as Porto, despite being the weakest of the remaining eight teams, are not the type of side you can afford to take lightly - especially when the stakes are so high.

Georginio Wijnaldum is in desperate need of a rest after being used regularly over the last eight months, though, which could open a gap for Fabinho to feature, likely alongside Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita.

Oxlade-Chamberlain still remains on the sidelines, meanwhile, with the reverse fixture on April 17 a possible date to target for his return, while Gomez is not quite back to fitness and Lallana is carrying a muscular injury.
