Robert Firmino: 'Liverpool can challenge anyone in the Champions League'

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino insists that his side do not mind who they are drawn against in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Liverpool frontman Roberto Firmino has insisted that his side do not mind who they draw in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, even if it is another English club.

The Reds eased into the last eight of Europe's elite competition on Tuesday, after a goalless draw at Anfield completed a 5-0 win over Porto on aggregate, who were undone by Jurgen Klopp's charges in Portugal during the first leg.

"Yes, we'd like a draw against an English club," said Firmino, according to Sky Sports News. "Why not? We have shown in the past few seasons we can beat all the English clubs. Our record is good against them.

"We feel we have played well against the top English clubs and shown we can beat them but we are not afraid of anyone in the draw. We are not concerned who we get, we don't mind. A top Spanish club? We are not afraid. I don't think we have anything to fear from any side now.

"If you are in the draw, then you cannot be afraid of anyone. We feel we can beat any side on our day, and we don't mind who we get. I think we are a team who will cause problems to others."

Liverpool have won the Champions League five times during the club's history, the last success coming courtesy of a historic comeback win over AC Milan in 2005.
