Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has conceded that his team were left disappointed with how they finished Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg against Roma.
The Reds were 5-0 ahead against the Italian giants in the 69th minute, but conceded twice in the final nine minutes to ultimately record a 5-2 success at Anfield.
Henderson was pleased with Liverpool's overall performance on the night, but has admitted that his team 'cannot afford to do that in the Champions League'.
"It felt as though we were in full control but we basically gave them two goals, you can't do that in the Champions League. At the same time we played well, we will go there with a three-goal advantage," Henderson told BT Sport.
"Overall we have got to stay positive. We knew it would not be easy tonight, we know it will not be easy there. It will be a challenge but one we will look forward to and one we will hopefully finish them off."
Roma will welcome Liverpool to Rome for the second leg of their semi-final next week.
