Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Dejan Lovren is close to a return to the first-team squad.
Lovren has not featured since suffering a hamstring injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers on January 7, but the Croatian has recently made a return to training.
The centre-back is due to step up his recovery ahead of Tuesday's Champions League fixture with Bayern Munich, and Klopp has said that the player could represent 'another option'.
At a press conference, Klopp told reporters: "Dejan we will have to see. Yesterday we had a clearing session and after that we have to see how he reacted until today. That's the plan today, to be in proper training.
"Dejan, I actually have to wait minute by minute if there is a chance or not. If it's good then it will be another option."
Lovren has made just 12 appearances in all competitions during the current campaign.
