UEFA are set to be sued by Liverpool fans following chaotic scenes at the Champions League final in May.
Liverpool supporters complained over the treatment that they received from stewards and police ahead of the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
While UEFA delayed kickoff by 35 minutes due to "security issues", there were reports outside the Stade de France of long queues leading up to the game and heavy-handed policing.
Following the scenes in Paris, over 1,700 Liverpool fans are to sue UEFA due to claims that they were injured or left with psychological trauma.
The lawyers involved have stated that they will sue UEFA for breach of contract in ticket sales and negligence over a duty of care they had towards the fans.
Liverpool law firm Bingham will work alongside side Pogust Goodhead to represent 1,450 clients, while Leigh Day are working on behalf of 400 individuals that were affected.
