Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers believes that he has the right players at the club to finish in the top four of the Premier League next season.
The former Swansea City manager joined the Reds last season and guided them to a seventh-place finish in their last campaign.
However, Rodgers has added Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure, Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto to his side this summer, as well as keeping star striker Luis Suarez at the club.
The Mirror quotes Rodgers as saying: "We can get into the Champions League with players who are hungry - players who have that hunger to succeed.
"With the right profile of player, and the right level of coaching, we can achieve that. We all want stars, but the most important thing is you want players who are hungry to become stars.
"That's what we have at the club now - players who are hungry. If we bring them in with a certain profile I think we've shown we are able to compete - and I would expect us to make a much better fist of competing for a top four place this year."
Liverpool have reportedly rejected an improved offer from Arsenal for Suarez, believed to be in the region of £40m.
