Stephane Henchoz
Having cut his teeth in English football with Blackburn Rovers, Stephane Henchoz joined Liverpool in 1999 and went on to forge a formidable partnership with Sami Hyypia at the heart of the defence.
It was that pairing which provided the base for Liverpool's treble success in 2001, with Henchoz helping the club to the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup in a remarkable season under Gerard Houllier.
The Switzerland international went on to win the Charity Shield and UEFA Super Cup later that same year as Liverpool claimed five pieces of silverware in 2001, while a second League Cup followed in 2003.
In all, Henchoz made 135 Premier League appearances for the Reds and more than 200 across all competitions before losing his place in the side upon Rafael Benitez's arrival and he subsequently joined Celtic in January 2005.
