Matt Le Tissier has backed Rickie Lambert to fill in for injured teammate Daniel Sturridge when England face Switzerland in their first Euro 2016 qualifier on Monday.
The Liverpool striker, who started against Norway earlier this week, has been ruled out of the match with a hamstring injury.
The former England international told talkSPORT: "England's options up front are fairly limited. I'd like to see Rickie Lambert given a start.
"He's not let England down when he's played so far and has got a couple of goals. I know Roy might want a little bit more pace up front, but, as a hold up man, there's no one better in the squad."
New Arsenal signing Danny Welbeck has also been tipped to take Sturridge's place.
