Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has insisted that his side "never stopped believing" in their Europa League quarter-final second leg against Borussia Dortmund this evening.
The Reds found themselves two goals down inside 10 minutes at Anfield, but fought back in the second half and eventually sealed a 4-3 win on the night when Lovren's stoppage-time header capped off a memorable late comeback.
The defender described it as an "amazing feeling" to have scored the winning goal, which takes Liverpool into their first European semi-final since 2010.
"It's an amazing feeling. It's one of the best games in the last two or three years," Lovren told BT Sport.
"We never stopped believing in ourselves. It is a great effort from everyone. We didn't expect we would start like we did."
The draw for the semi-finals of the competition will take place tomorrow morning.
