Simon Mignolet has claimed that Liverpool's ability to beat high-calibre clubs in the Europa League could give them the edge over Sevilla in the final on Wednesday.
Jurgen Klopp and his men will travel to Switzerland today ahead of the showdown in Basel at St Jakob-Park.
On their route to the final, Liverpool have had to take on Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal, beating all of them over two legs.
Sevilla are the reigning champions and will take home the trophy for a third time in a row if they overcome Liverpool in two days' time, but Mignolet is confident of success.
"We've knocked out three teams - Manchester United, Dortmund and Villarreal - who will probably be playing in the Champions League next season, so that shows how big the competition was this year," the goalkeeper told Sky Sports News.
"We've got a good chance of winning the final and we're confident we can win it. Jurgen Klopp has pushed us in every game because he knows how important this competition is and it is an exciting competition to play in."
Liverpool finished eighth in the Premier League on Sunday, but will automatically go into the Champions League group stage if they win their European final.
