Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that midfielder Adam Lallana has picked up a minor injury during training.
Since recovering from a thigh injury, Lallana has made just two starts in all competitions and had been expected to feature against West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
However, Klopp has ruled the playmaker out of the fixture at Anfield after the England international sustained "a little issue" earlier this week.
At a press conference, the 50-year-old told reporters: "We have to think about it. Adam Lallana has a little issue and I'm pretty sure he will be out of the next game.
"Adam [Lallana] had a long injury and needs time again to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League."
In total, Lallana has made two starts and five substitute outings since November 25.
