Jose Baxter has spoken of his excitement at facing Liverpool in the FA Cup this weekend.
Oldham Athletic host last year's beaten finalists in the fourth round of the tournament at Boundary Park tomorrow.
The former Everton player, who is a Liverpool supporter, told BBC Sport: "It's possibly the biggest day of my life. For me and my family it will be massive and something I will never forget.
"[Steven Gerrard] scored that fantastic late goal against West Ham to take the game to extra time then said afterwards he wouldn't have shot if he didn't have cramp. It's amazing that I could be playing against him on Sunday. He is one of my idols and possibly one of the best players ever to play the game.
"At Oldham it's just so good to go out and play in front of a crowd, especially when they have taken to you and you can hear people chanting your name."
The 20-year-old signed a contract extension earlier this month, having joined Oldham from Goodison Park in the summer in search of regular first-team football.
