Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has praised Stoke City's "physical" style ahead of Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final at Anfield.
The Potters have established themselves in the Premier League with a no-nonsense style of play following their promotion in 2008.
"I was not used to playing against these types of teams in Holland," Kuyt told Liverpool's official website. "I've never played against another team in Europe who play like that.
"They've got a good team and physically they're one of the strongest teams in the league. It's always tough against Stoke. You know what it's about and we know what Stoke City are about.
"The Premier League is about the physical game. There is a lot of quality but physically it's also one of the toughest leagues."
Liverpool are looking to return to Wembley Stadium for the second time this season after last month's Carling Cup final victory over Cardiff City.
