First meets second in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, as 2019-20 champions Liverpool welcome reigning holders Manchester City to Merseyside.
The Citizens marched to a convincing 4-1 success in the absence of fans during last season's fixture, but the Anfield faithful will be roaring on the hosts this time around, and one man in particular will endeavour to live up to the hype.
Seeking to build on his 100th Premier League strike for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah will be key to the Reds' chances of taking the spoils here, and the Egyptian attacker has had his fair share of good luck against City over the years.
Here, Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at Salah's record against Pep Guardiola's men.
Salah's first taste of action against the Citizens came in the fifth round of the 2013-14 FA Cup during his Chelsea days, as the Egyptian replaced Samuel Eto'o for the second 45 minutes but could not prevent the Blues falling to a 2-0 defeat.
The attacker was also an unused substitute for the Blues' win at the Etihad during the same Premier League season, but he did not make the squad for either of the 1-1 draws in the following campaign.
Following his arrival at Anfield in the summer of 2017, Salah's first encounter with City in red was also a forgettable affair during a 5-0 Etihad defeat, but he would endear himself to the Anfield faithful with a long-range goal and assist in a thrilling 4-3 success at home.
Salah's end to the 2017-18 Champions League campaign was a tearful affair, but over two legs in the quarter-finals against Guardiola's side, he claimed two goals and one assist to see the Reds to a 5-1 aggregate win.
The ex-Chelsea man would fail to register a goal or assist against City in 2018-19, but he found the net in a 3-1 home win during their title-winning campaign a year later before scoring in both fixtures last year, although Liverpool failed to win either of them.
Overall, Salah averages a goal every two games against the Citizens having netted six times in 12 such fixtures, while he has amassed four goals and two assists from five Anfield clashes with the English champions across all tournaments.
