Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Ilkay Gundogan and Oleksandr Zinchenko are unavailable for Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool due to injury.
Gundogan has missed the last three matches with a thigh problem, while Zinchenko has not featured in any of the last four games as he is nursing an unspecified injury.
Speaking to the press ahead of this weekend's trip to Anfield, Guardiola said: "Everyone is fit except Zinchenko and Gundogan. We expect both after [the] international break, hopefully."
The Spaniard is hopeful that both players can return for City's home encounter against Burnley on October 16, before they travel to Club Brugge in the Champions League three days later.
In Gundogan's absence, Bernardo Silva could be in line to start his sixth successive Premier League game in centre-midfield and is set to be joined by Belgian playmaker Kevin De Bruyne.
Joao Cancelo, meanwhile, who has played the full 90 minutes in every Premier League match so far this season, is expected to start at left-back as Zinchenko watches on from the sidelines.
Man City are looking to win their second successive league game at Anfield this weekend, following their 4-1 triumph away from home last season.
