Raheem Sterling's first Premier League goal has given Liverpool a 1-0 lead at half-time of their match against Reading this afternoon.
The hosts dominated the opening half-hour without carving out any clear-cut chances until Sterling got on the end of Luis Suarez's ball to half-volley into the bottom corner and give his side the lead.
Suarez came within inches of doubling his side's lead 10 minutes before the break when he let fly from 25 yards out, but his effort clipped the outside of the post.
Liverpool came close again on the stroke of half-time as Steven Gerrard set Sterling through, who in turn found Glen Johnson, but the defender could only steer his effort straight at the keeper.
