Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Monday's Merseyside derby with Everton in the Premier League.
Sports Mole

Liverpool return to action on Monday evening when they square off against Everton in the Merseyside derby.

By the time that kickoff comes round at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp's side would have had nine days to stew over their 3-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

While that result has left Liverpool in 10th position in the standings, they may drop down to 11th spot depending on how Aston Villa fare versus Manchester City a day earlier.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the showdown with their resurgent neighbours.

Luis Diaz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Colombia international Luis Diaz will be on the sidelines until at least the middle of March, having been forced to undergo surgery on another knee injury.

Arthur

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 18 (vs. Newcastle United)

Klopp revealed on Friday that Arthur is back training with the squad after a thigh injury, but he is not expected to come back into contention for this fixture.

Diogo Jota

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: February 13 (vs. Everton)

Diogo Jota suffered a serious calf injury against Manchester City in October and was expected to be absent until later this month. However, Klopp has revealed that, barring no further issues, the Portuguese playmaker could be named on the substitutes' bench on Monday.

Roberto Firmino

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: February 18 (vs. Newcastle United)

While Roberto Firmino has recently returned to training after a calf injury, Klopp hinted at his press conference on Friday that he was not prepared to take any risks on the Brazilian for this game.

Virgil van Dijk

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 18 (vs. Newcastle United)

Of the four players namechecked by Klopp when speaking to the media, the German suggested that Virgil van Dijk was behind his teammates in terms of recovery time and will not feature versus the club's neighbours.

Ibrahima Konate

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ibrahima Konate has been ruled out for at least three weeks with the hamstring problem that he picked up in the FA Cup defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Thiago Alcantara

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: February 13 (vs. Everton)

Klopp has revealed that Thiago Alcantara has sustained a hip injury which has prevented him from training. As it stands, that is likely to keep the Spaniard on the sidelines for this game.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
