Liverpool are potentially just 90 minutes away from being crowned champions of the world for the first time in their history ahead of Saturday's Club World Cup final against Flamengo.
The Reds needed a last-gasp Roberto Firmino goal to see off the challenge of Mexican outfit Monterrey in Wednesday's semi-final, setting up a showdown between the champions of Europe and the champions of South America.
The European outfit have lifted the trophy in each of the last six seasons, although Liverpool are bidding to become the first English champions since Manchester United in 2008.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Jurgen Klopp's side ahead of the contest.
Georginio Wijnaldum
Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: December 21 (vs. Flamengo)
Georginio Wijnaldum missed the semi-final win over Monterrey after limping off against Watford last weekend and remains a major doubt for this one, although Klopp has confirmed that the injury is not as serious as first thought. The fact that the Dutchman travelled to Qatar suggests that he could be involved at some point.
Virgil van Dijk
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: December 21 (vs. Flamengo)
Virgil van Dijk added to Liverpool's defensive woes when he missed Wednesday's match through illness, forcing Jordan Henderson into centre-back. It is at least not another injury, though, and the Ballon d'Or runner-up could be available for the final.
Dejan Lovren
Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown
Dejan Lovren has not travelled to Qatar after picking up a muscle injury against Red Bull Salzburg earlier this month - the second consecutive game in which he limped off injured. No timescale has been put on his return.
Fabinho
Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown
Fabinho is not expected to return this side of the New Year, having been sidelined since the end of November due to an ankle problem.
Joel Matip
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: January 2 (vs. Sheffield United)
Joel Matip is not expected back until early next year due to an ongoing knee issue, which has limited him to only one appearance since September.
Nathaniel Clyne
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown
Nathaniel Clyne has been sidelined since pre-season and is not expected back until at least February.
