Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Nottingham Forest

:Headline: Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Nottingham Forest:
Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Sports Mole

Liverpool will aim to extend their winning run in the Premier League to three games when they take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday lunchtime.

The Reds followed up their victory over Manchester City with a 1-0 success over West Ham United on Wednesday, with Darwin Nunez heading home the game's only goal.

Jurgen Klopp's side have now risen to seventh in the table after their midweek triumph, two points behind Newcastle United with a game in hand and four adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Forest, who held Brighton & Hove Albion to a goalless draw in midweek.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Diogo Jota was stretchered off with a calf injury in the final few moments against Man City, and Klopp has since confirmed Liverpool's worst fears, with the Portugal attacker facing months out and missing the World Cup as a result.

Luis Diaz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Aston Villa)

Luis Diaz is also out for the long-term with a knee issue sustained in the defeat to Arsenal earlier this month, and the Colombian will not be back in action until after the World Cup either.

Joel Matip

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: November 6 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Joel Matip was another casualty of the loss to Arsenal after pulling up with a calf strain, and it may still be a couple of weeks before the centre-back takes to the field again.

Arthur Melo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Arthur Melo's Liverpool career had barely kicked off before he underwent surgery on a thigh injury, and he will spend the next few months recovering.

Naby Keita

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: November 6 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Naby Keita has recently been able to take part in some aspects of team training as he bids to recover from a thigh injury, but the Guinea international is unlikely to be ready for this weekend.

Ibrahima Konate

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 26 (vs. Ajax)

Klopp has ruled Ibrahima Konate out for 10 days after the centre-back sustained a new muscular injury prior to the win over Man City, so a return could be pencilled in for next week's Champions League showdown with Ajax.

Darwin Nunez

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: October 22 (vs. Nottingham Forest)

Darwin Nunez scored his first Anfield goal in the win over West Ham, but he lasted less than an hour due to hamstring tightness. The striker has undergone treatment, but Klopp admitted in his pre-game press conference that he is still uncertain for the contest.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
