Manchester City will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they head to Anfield on Sunday afternoon to take on fellow title hopefuls Liverpool.

The Citizens recorded a 1-0 win over Chelsea in the league last weekend, which saw them move into second position in the table.

Pep Guardiola's side will enter the match off the back of a disappointing result, though, having lost 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's injury and suspension news ahead of the encounter with Jurgen Klopp's side.

Ilkay Gundogan

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 16 (vs. Burnley)

Man City will be without key midfielder Ilkay Gundogan until after the international break, with the Germany international struggling to overcome the thigh problem that he picked up against Southampton.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: October 3 (vs. Liverpool)

Oleksandr Zinchenko has missed Man City's last three matches through injury, and the left-back remains a major doubt for Sunday's contest at Anfield.

MAN CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Benjamin Mendy

Status: Out
Possible return date: Unknown

Subject to a police charge, Benjamin Mendy has been suspended by Man City pending an investigation, meaning that the defender will be unavailable for the foreseeable future.
