Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Brazilian playmaker Roberto Firmino might have cracked a bone in his back.
Firmino, who joined Liverpool this summer from Hoffenheim, fell awkwardly in the Capital One Cup tie against Carlisle United on Wednesday.
He started the match against the League Two side but had to be substituted after 35 minutes before Liverpool came through in a penalty shootout.
Firmino pulled out of the Brazil squad for their upcoming internationals and now Rodgers has confirmed that there is a possibility of a cracked bone, which means that the 23-year-old is out of tomorrow's Premier League match against Aston Villa.
Defender Dejan Lovren and striker Christian Benteke are also ruled out for Villa's visit.
