Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reportedly expects to be without midfielder Ilkay Gundogan for next weekend's huge Premier League showdown with Liverpool.
The Germany international was subbed off midway through the second half of the Citizens' 2-1 win over Hoffenheim on Tuesday evening after picking up an injury.
Gundogan, who was making his 10th appearance of the season for City, clutched his right hamstring as he left the Rhein-Neckar-Arena field.
According to The Sun, Gundogan will be closely assessed by the club's medical staff to determine the full extent of the injury, but Guardiola concedes that the 27-year-old is a major doubt to face Liverpool.
City head to Anfield sitting top of the Premier League table, ahead of their opponents on goal difference alone.
