Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren will have to wait a further 24 hours to discover the extent of the knee injury he sustained during the 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
The Croatian had to be stretchered off following a challenge from Craig Gardner in the closing stages of the match and was later pictured leaving Anfield on crutches.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Lovren was given stitches for a wound in his right knee but now must wait until Tuesday for the swelling to die down before a full assessment of the injury can take place.
The 26-year-old is the latest addition to a long list of injuries to blight Jurgen Klopp's side, although Mamadou Sakho is thought to be back in training and could take Lovren's place at centre-back.
Liverpool currently sit ninth in the Premier League table, five points adrift of the top four.
