Glenn Murray has blasted "new style pitches" following a spate of serious knee injuries affecting players in the Premier League.
Liverpool's Joe Gomez and Danny Ings both sustained anterior cruciate ligament tears earlier this week, as did Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul while away with the Netherlands on international duty.
The Bournemouth striker wrote on Twitter: "Can't believe how common ACLs are becoming, new style pitches have to be to blame. If the turf doesn't give our body's [sic] do. Killing us."
Murray's club teammates Max Gradel, Tyrone Mings and Callum Wilson have also sustained ACL injuries this season.
