Roberto Firmino will not be fit for Liverpool's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

The Brazilian attacker has been struggling with a hamstring issue since being forced off against Chelsea in August and has missed subsequent matches with Leeds United and AC Milan.

Firmino was already classed as a major doubt for the visit of Patrick Vieira's Eagles, and Klopp has now confirmed that the former Hoffenheim man will miss out once more.

Speaking to the media ahead of Saturday's game, Klopp said: "He's not ready. Bobby won't start training with the team until some time next week. Then we will have to wait and see."

Liverpool enter the gameweek five clash with Palace having taken 10 points from their opening four Premier League games to sit third in the embryonic rankings.
