Simon Mignolet has claimed that a home draw was the best that Liverpool could have hoped for in the League Cup third round.
The Reds found out on Tuesday that they will be hosting League Two outfit Carlisle United for a place in the last 16 of the competition.
Carlisle booked their spot in round three thanks to a shock 2-1 victory away to Queens Park Rangers.
"You're always happy when you've got a home game. I think that's the best thing," Belgian international Mignolet told the club's official website.
"When I saw the other Premier League teams that were drawn against each other, that's always good. We're happy with that and now we want to progress into the next round."
Liverpool are in Premier League action on Saturday when they entertain West Ham United.
