Liverpool have bounced back from their recent poor run of form to claim a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth and move into the last four of the League Cup.
The hosts started the night on the front foot and they had a chance to take the lead in the fourth minute, when Callum Wilson tricked his way past Martin Skrtel before placing an effort wide of the post.
Liverpool had a chance of their own moments later, as Adam Lallana fired in a strike from range that Artur Boruc stuck out a hand to tip over the bar.
The Reds began to dominate and they went ahead in the 20th minute through Raheem Sterling, who nodded in Jordan Henderson's header back across from close range.
Liverpool doubled their lead seven minutes later when Philippe Coutinho's strike was blocked by the keeper, but Lazar Markovic arrived to steer home the rebound.
Yann Kermorgant then wasted the chance to immediately pull a goal for the Cherries when he was picked out inside the box by Simon Francis, but he ended up blazing his strike over the bar.
Within six minutes of the second half Liverpool scored a third goal, as Lallana slipped in Sterling, who made no mistake with a low finish into the corner.
Dan Gosling soon pulled a goal back for the hosts when he collected Matt Ritchie's pass, before finding some space to drill a strike past Brad Jones.
That goal sparked the Cherries into life and Gosling was inches away from scoring a second when his drive from the edge of the box crashed against the post.
The hosts pushed hard for a way back into the game, but Liverpool stood firm and held on to book their place in the semi-finals of the cup.
