Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah is in line for a recall to the starting lineup when the Reds travel to Goodison Park for Wednesday's Premier League Merseyside derby with Everton.
The 31-year-old was dropped to the bench for the weekend's 3-1 win over Fulham, where Diogo Jota was instead handed his first start for two months and repaid Jurgen Klopp's faith with a goal.
However, Klopp announced in his pre-game press conference that Jota would spend two weeks out with a hip injury, so Salah ought to be a straight swap for the Portugal international in the final third.
Luis Diaz may be the only Reds attacker to reprise his role from the weekend, as chaos agent Darwin Nunez should thrive on derby day and will threaten Cody Gakpo's spot in the trifecta as well.
A similar story could unfold in midfield, where Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai should displace Harvey Elliott and Ryan Gravenberch, despite the latter's well-taken first Premier League goal at Craven Cottage.
Mac Allister could start in a more advanced role if Klopp keeps faith with Wataru Endo in the number six slot, but there should only be one alteration at the back, as Ibrahima Konate comes back in for Jarell Quansah.
Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson are defensive shoo-ins for Liverpool, who will be without Joel Matip, Ben Doak, Conor Bradley and Thiago Alcantara yet again.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Endo, Mac Allister; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
