Liverpool have revealed that striker Iago Aspas has suffered a torn thigh muscle in training.
The 26-year-old picked up the injury on Thursday, and the club's medical staff have ruled him out for the next six weeks.
The Spaniard, who has recently dropped down to the bench after the return of Luis Suarez, is expected to return for the club's trip to Hull City on December 1.
Aspas moved to Anfield from Celta Vigo during the summer for £7.7m, but he has yet to find the net in six appearances.
