Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has hailed the re-emergence of Raheem Sterling this season.
The 19-year-old winger was thrust into the first team when Brendan Rodgers arrived at Anfield in 2012, but saw his performances begin to wane after an impressive beginning.
However, the teenager has added consistency to his game this term and has become an important member of the Reds' squad.
Writing in his Daily Mail column, Carragher said: "There was always a buzz around Raheem when I was at Liverpool but this season he has shown there is substance to the hype.
"He has been brilliant since getting back into the team, adding goals to his speed on the flanks, and he looks set to go to the World Cup."
