Andy Carroll has said that he is desperate to help out his former club Liverpool by ruining Manchester City's title party at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The Reds need to beat Newcastle United and hope that the Hammers upset City to help them to their first league success in 24 years.
Carroll, who became the most expensive British footballer when he moved to Anfield for £35m in 2011, believes that Liverpool deserve to win, having played the best football this season.
He told The People: "I am hoping that Liverpool win the league and I will do my best to score at the Etihad. I have still got a lot of friends at the club and the lads were brilliant when I was up there."
Carroll left the Reds for West Ham on a permanent deal last summer.
