Liverpool midfielder Fabinho says that he has now "got into the rhythm of the team" after being given time to adapt to the demands of Premier League football.

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has admitted that he initially struggled to adapt to the demands of Premier League football after joining from Monaco.

The Brazil international did not make his first-team debut for the Reds until September and was not used regularly until November.

Fabinho, who set Liverpool back £44m to sign from Monaco, was even forced to deny earlier this month that he could be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain in January.

After being given a run in the side, however, culminating in arguably his best performance yet in the 3-1 win over Manchester United last weekend, the 25-year-old believes that he is now in full flow.

"The intensity is different from what I am used to [but] I've got into the rhythm of the team and got used to the style of play," he told Liverpool's official website.

"The role that the manager asks of me is what I'm used to, so there were no problems in adapting in that respect.

"Obviously in the first games I didn't have that automatic understanding with the rest of the team, so I had to work a bit harder to understand other players' runs, but I can do this faster now."

Fabinho has been used 12 times in all competitions this season, including back-to-back starts in the Premier League.
