Liverpool reportedly fear that captain Steven Gerrard will be out of action until after the New Year with a hamstring problem.
The England skipper limped off during the second half of the 4-1 win over West Ham United on Saturday, with Reds manager Brendan Rodgers originally hesitant on giving a prognosis.
However, The Mirror now claims that Gerrard, who has started all 15 of the Anfield outfit's Premier League games this season, could be sidelined for up to six weeks with his muscle injury.
Should this be the case, Gerrard will miss the fixtures against Liverpool's top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City, all of whom the Merseysiders play in the next fortnight.
