Steven Gerrard has described his upcoming move to Los Angeles Galaxy as a "match made in Heaven".
It was confirmed on Wednesday that the Liverpool captain would be joining the MLS champions in July.
The 34-year-old is understood to have signed an 18-month deal with the West Coast outfit.
"I think it's a match made in Heaven really," Gerrard is quoted as saying by the LA Times. "I chose LA Galaxy because of the success.
"I am committed to helping the LA Galaxy compete for trophies and to having an impact in Los Angeles and I will give my all for the club. In the meantime, I will continue to give everything for Liverpool for the remainder of this season before joining up with the Galaxy."
Gerrard recently revealed that he would have penned a new contract with Liverpool had one been offered to him before the start of the season.
