Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has warned his teammates to "stay calm" in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
The Reds regained top spot by seeing off West Ham United 2-1 at Upton Park on Sunday evening, where they now hold a two-point lead over second-placed Chelsea.
Manchester City, whom Liverpool face at Anfield in a crunch clash next weekend, are four points further back, but they have two games in hand on their nearest rivals.
"I'm not convinced yet. I think there's some very hard games to go and we've got a very hard game next week," Gerrard told Sky Sports News when asked about his side's title hopes.
"I think the message now is to stay calm. We've got to go out there and leave everything on the field."
Liverpool last won the league title in 1990.
