Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland has hailed Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk as an "incredible" player that has every quality one could hope for in a centre-back.
Haaland was on the scoresheet for former club Red Bull Salzburg in October's 4-3 Champions League group defeat to Liverpool at Anfield - one of 40 goals scored by the youngster in all competitions this term.
The 19-year-old had less luck in the reverse fixture a month later as the Reds ran out 2-0 winners, with Van Dijk helping his side to another clean sheet.
Haaland rates the Dutchman highly, telling ESPN during a Q&A session on Instagram: "He is so good. He is powerful, quick, he possesses all the qualities. He is an incredible player."
Manchester United and Real Madrid have been tipped to make a move for Haaland, who only joined Dortmund in January, but he has played down speculation of an end-of-season switch.
