Liverpool are reportedly set to fight Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Feyenoord attacker Anis Hadj Moussa in 2025.

The Algeria international has impressed across the 2024-25 campaign to date, with the Reds said to be targeting the winger as a potential Mohamed Salah replacement.

Moussa put in a standout performance for Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord in November, when the Pride of the South fought back from three goals down to snatch a point at Manchester City in the Champions League.

As well as shining on the club scene, the 22-year-old is also beginning to make an impression on the international stage, earning three caps for Algeria during 2024.

Since making the switch from Belgian club Patro Eisden over the summer, Moussa has featured on 19 occasions for Feyenoord, scoring six goals.

Tottenham to battle Liverpool for Feyenoord gem Moussa?

According to Football Insider, a new horse has entered the race for the services of Liverpool-linked Moussa during the January transfer window.

The report states that Premier League counterparts Tottenham are keen on the talents of the 22-year-old, who has impressed on the continental stage this term.

It is understood that Spurs are actively looking to bolster their attacking ranks before the February 3 deadline, with Moussa a player of considerable interest.

That being said, it is believed that Ange Postecoglou's men would be willing to wait until the summer transfer window to secure the signature of the Algerian.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot is a major admirer of Moussa, whose move to Stadion Feijenoord was given the green light by the Dutchman in April 2024.

Tottenham's off-field battles

Once again since the arrival of Postecoglou and a clear change in transfer strategy, Tottenham look set to battle a top European club for a promising talent.

The Lilywhites managed to overpower attention from Barcelona in the race for Lucas Bergvall, with the Swedish teenager picking North London over Camp Nou.

The 18-year-old bagged his maiden goal for Tottenham on Wednesday night, when Postecoglou's men recorded a 1-0 win over Liverpool in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final. body check tags ::
