Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori has revealed that he is relishing the competition for places at the club.
The 20-year-old Portuguese is now one of six centre-backs at Anfield after joining the Reds from Sporting Lisbon on transfer deadline day.
Despite not yet featuring for the Reds, Ilori insists that he is happy to fight for a spot in the first team.
"There is competition but I'm looking forward to training with these players and learning from them all," he told the club's official website.
"I'm just going to do my best to try and adapt and if I can start playing that would be great.
"I would love to, of course, but I don't know what's going to happen. What I do know is that I'm definitely looking forward to the challenge."
Ilori has signed a five-year deal with Liverpool.
