Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he will not be gifting outgoing Manchester City counterpart Manuel Pellegrini one more trophy when they meet in the League Cup final on Sunday.
The German heads to Wembley tomorrow looking to earn his first piece of silverware as Reds boss, while Pellegrini is aiming to claim his second League Cup following City's triumph during his first season in charge in 2013-14.
Klopp urged Liverpool fans to remain cautious despite the recent form of City, who have lost their last three domestic games.
"I lost my last final with my former club [Borussia Dortmund] so it's not a guarantee," he told Sky Sports News.
"Just because you want to give a present doesn't mean you can give a present. I have maximum respect for the work Manuel did but we are not Santa Claus, they have a few other opportunities and if they want they can take one of these."
Pellegrini's City also remain in contention for the Premier League and Champions League, where they hold a 3-1 first leg lead over Dynamo Kiev.
