Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his delight after the Reds drew arch-rivals Manchester United in the last 16 of the Europa League.
Both Premier League teams made it through to the round of 16 last night and were drawn together today, with Liverpool to play at home first in next month's two-legged affair.
When asked what he made of the United draw, Klopp told reporters: "It's great. We deserve these games.
"Obviously it is not easy but you can ask my staff and when they asked me yesterday who I wanted I said 'Man United'."
Liverpool have lost both of their Premier League games against United this season, including a 1-0 defeat at Anfield last month in Klopp's first match as Reds boss against the Old Trafford outfit.
"I think we have to clear something," the German added. "We had a good game when we lost 1-0 but it was not what we deserved.
"It gives us a chance to make it better and that is what we will try to do."
Up next for Liverpool in Sunday's League Cup final against Manchester City before they then play Manuel Pellegrini's side again in the league in midweek.
