Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that he "doesn't feel too brilliant" after taking just a point from White Hart Lane.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he "doesn't feel too brilliant" after his side surrendered a lead to leave White Hart Lane with just a point today.

The Reds took the lead just before the break through a James Milner penalty but were pegged back late on by Danny Rose in a game where they had a goal incorrectly ruled out and were denied a second spot kick.

"When you take a point at Tottenham for 99% of teams it would be a good thing but today we saw the game different," Klopp told Sky Sports News afterwards. "We should be more clinical.

"Our first real mistake and they score. We played football and defended really good. It doesn't feel too brilliant at the moment."

Regarding the second penalty shout, which saw Jan Vertonghen bring down debutant Joel Matip, Klopp was adamant that the referee had made the wrong decision.

"It's a penalty," he added. "I don't know why you stop the game unless it's a penalty.

"I still feel a little disappointed. When we play like this, we could have won the game. One mistake, one goal. We were flexible in offensive defending. Wish we would have won it, but we have to accept the point. We showed we can be really good."

The result saw Liverpool move onto four points in the Premier League table after three games played.
