Jurgen Klopp expects "really interesting" match at Wembley

Jurgen Klopp hopes that Liverpool's trip to Tottenham Hotspur provides a more entertaining game than last weekend's goalless draw with Manchester United.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he is "really looking forward" to his side's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur, a week on from the anticlimactic goalless draw against Manchester United.

Last Saturday's top-flight affair at Anfield failed to live up to the hype, seeing both teams cancel each other out in one of the quieter games of the season to date.

Klopp does not believe that a lack of entertainment will be an issue at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, however, as the Reds go in search of all three points to close the gap on third-placed Spurs in the table.

"That's a nice football game," he told reporters. "It's a game I think the supporters can look forward to. "Both teams don't hesitate with any effort, any investment, stuff like this. Both teams are always spot on and want to do the best.

"So far Tottenham did better than we did results-wise but I'm sure they can play better than they played so far. We can play better than we played so far, so it's a really interesting game. So far we did well but that's all, nothing else. We have a challenge when we go there, they know it will not be an easy game so let's play and see what happens.

"I'm really looking forward to this game, you don't have a lot of these games where both teams are going for everything. It's always against [Manchester] City like this and against Tottenham it is like this and that's it pretty much."

Liverpool put seven unanswered goals past Maribor in their most recent outing to keep alive their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage of the Champions League.
