Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he will make alterations to his side for the EFL Cup tie with Burton Albion.
Having failed to qualify for Europe, the Reds must feature in the second round of the competition but while he has suggested that some of his fringe players will get an opportunity to impress, Klopp has insisted that he will not make wholesale changes.
The 49-year-old told reporters: "Of course we will make changes. It depends a little bit on what the doc will tell me, but it's not really likely that we will change seven or eight positions or something like this. I'm not sure we could do, it's not the plan.
"It's another game, an important game, so we have to show that we can be better than last Saturday."
The Merseyside giants reached the final of the competition last season before losing out to Manchester City.
