There is a growing confidence within those at Liverpool that the club will be able to agree to a new deal for Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian international is under contract with the Reds until the summer of 2023, which is why people behind the scenes are keen to make the deal take place.

According to Football Insider, the belief within the club is that a new deal will be arranged soon, with the winger requesting £500,000-per-week to stay with the Premier League outfit.

It was noted that the negotiations have been tricky between them and that they are at a delicate stage currently, with the Reds not wanting to pay as much as he wants.

Salah has scored 20 goals already this season, having started 21 times in the Premier League and Europe, adding nine assists to his tally as well.

Liverpool are set to play Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa and the winger will be keen to continue his impressive personal campaign going.
