Simon Mignolet has said that there has been "a lot of belief" at Liverpool following Jurgen Klopp's appointment as manager earlier this month.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss was hired following Brendan Rodgers's dismissal, securing draws with Tottenham Hotspur and Rubin Kazan in his first two fixtures in charge.
Ahead of the Premier League match against Southampton, the goalkeeper told reporters: "There's a lot of belief around the place now since his arrival. The manager wanted a present on Thursday. Unfortunately he didn't receive as good a present as he wanted, so let's hope we can give him that on Sunday.
"The message from the manager has been for supporters to start believing. His ambition, excitement and positiveness has struck not only on the dressing room and the players but also the fans.
"Hopefully we can, through the whole squad together with the help of the fans, get some good results on the board."
Liverpool sit 10th in the table ahead of this weekend's fixtures.
